Reimu Hakurei WIP

The plan was to make all Touhou characters then put them in an animation or small real time environment.........but i did not have enough skill to pull it off, ( I do now :> ) since they are about 400 of them i will make the most popular ones first.

All models will be Game engine Friendly ( Unity 3D, UDK, Ect ) and up for download.

I always try to finish the head 90 - 99% before i start anything else.
Lets see how far i get with this project this time....

I like this a lot. I'm actually looking for someone to do some character models and rigging for a Touhou fangame (I had someone doing it, but he seems to have vanished). If you're interested, take a look:

Hehe you're doing good, happy to see how you've been progressing since the first time we talked!!!

If you got something 'engine ready' I'd have a try at it to see how they fit with mine (I'd expect the way I handle animated characters is fairly standard but who knows)

Well Fan service for myself really XD this is an old project i was just not skilled enough to pull it off until now, Indeed like everything else this will be engine friendly   want to be about 15 to 20 k Tri, i thought this was to much at first but after watching the game conference at E3 Models will be 40k tris + next gen xD.

I can send you the  kagami model if you want, she is yours after all about 18k tris i think.

Not that this would put me off (retopo can be pretty quick) but...
...definitely too much for mobile hehee :P

Although we master models above 70k we might still downgrade them between 1k and 10k for mobile 
(I routinely see textured creature models in the hundreds of triangles).
But mmh for this kind of model strictly speaking the uber-high poly count is not justified imho (yea it's smoother but meh)

On this note beware that, on mobile also, there is a ~32k vertices limit for indexed geometry as well (I think I can explain this better but to cut a short story shorter we can't address a vertex beyond 32767 if I do remember, which would mean the model has to be sent in separate chunks to draw, which most of the time isn't a good idea).
Anyways not meaning to throw all this at you but just to explain that it can still be somewhat of an impediment to have super large tri-counts.

Ah i see thanks for the info i am sure what ever company i get in to they will give me my Poly limits to not pass i am just modeling randomly going by what they say on their blogs,
The highest i ever went for a game model is Jane (V2) she is 50k lol i need to trim her down tho all of it is not really needed but she works in Unity, everything else i try to go about 14 to 20k tri, all the touhou models should be around this number.
